Our students get to experience how God can work with them and through them.
Each year at Main Street Christian Church we take a mission trip with our High School students. We partner with Group Mission Trips who set several locations to choose from each year. We spend a week at one of these destinations and get to partner with other students from across the country to help do light home repair projects on residential homes. Projects can range from painting the interior of a home to painting the entire outside of the house. More advanced projects can even include building a wheelchair ramp or repairing a porch or a deck.
Each day our students get to experience the way God can work with them and through them. With group devotionals happening each day at the job site and worship services in both the morning and evenings our students truly get to feel and see the presence of God in areas they may never have seen before.
Each year we raise money to help offset the cost for each student and their families. In total, we try to raise between one-half and two-thirds of the cost of the trip which includes our travel expenses and price of the per person cost. Any little bit helps and we hope that your coffee tastes just a little better as you drink it because you know part of the cost has gone to help raise money for the impact of God’s kingdom.
